BRIA GAINES ALL-STATE  2012  Averaged 27.2 points a game, 16.4 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks per game.  She was named the Times Player of the Year and the Tribune All-State.

Mann turned pro in 1960 and joined the LPGA Tour in 1961. She won her first tournament in 1964 at theWomen's Western Open, a major championship at the time. She would go on to win a total of 38 events on the LPGA Tour, including two major championships. She earned the LPGA Vare Trophy in 1968 for lowest scoring average and was the tour's leading money winner in 1969. She led the tour in wins three times, 1968 with ten (tied with Kathy Whitworth), 1969 with eight, and 1975 with four (tied with Sandra Haynie). She was the LPGA's president from 1973 to 1976. She was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1977. Her final competitive appearance came in 1981.

CAROL MANN BLOOM GOLF PRO

Mann was born in Buffalo, New York and grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and Chicago Heights, Illinois. She started playing golf at the age of 9. She won the Western Junior and the Chicago Junior in 1958, and the Chicago Women's Amateur in 1960. She attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Heather Bruno '03 was the only volleyball

player to get her jersey retired.  Jenny

and  her teammates were named 

All-Tournament.

Jenny Bruno '90 played volleyball, softball and basketball.  She signed a 5 year scholarship to DePaul for softball. She played  softball all four years on the Varsity

averaging over .400

for  batting and .950

for  fielding.

in State Long Jump

Jill Swain '77 played volleyball, basketball and softball. In basketball she was Conference all star and All-area Star team.  She held the school record of 1074 points. 

​​Lisa Wells '90 Participated in tennis, softball and basketball . Lisa was named All-State in softball.

Some Girls participate in three sports.

Mary Damiani '77 won the Ruby Davis Cofran Award the award for the outstanding senior girl.

Sherry Giarusso 'Trail '79 was 6th in state in the hurdles.  

1979 Hilda Perez Trail  and Cathy Vicari Bloom  both were state qualifiers in the 880 yard run. Vicari is taking the baton from  Pam Hall who qualified in 3 events in 1981 :  the hurdles (6th) , high jump and 200 hurdles.  KATHY VICARI STATE CHAMPION in 1981 in the 880 yard run (2:10.9).
